As someone who used to do their taxes on their own to avoid paying for a service they didn’t think they needed… I can now safely say that I should have made the move sooner.I’d been recommended to see Adam by both my partner and her parents, who they’ve been using for a long time.In the past I palmed the idea off, and believed I knew better as I had a ‘simple tax return’. After being stung by a mistake from my employer and then eaten alive by the ATO, I decided to give an accountant a shot.After both the recommendation and the positive reviews, I made an appointment with Adam (at the time I was still somewhat skeptical), and entertained the idea.On the day, Suzette was extremely friendly at reception and I felt welcome and comfortable.When it was my time to see Adam, he too showed the same friendliness and professionalism I’d seen before the meeting, and upon entry.As we went through my tax return, my initial outlook was dire until Adam educated me on what I could and could not claim on, making me realise the numerous purchases and specifics of travel, which I could have been claiming for, but had assumed I’d known better.In the end, I had a positive outcome and a new understanding on what I was actually allowed to claim on.If you have the opportunity to use their services, then I’d recommend giving Peacock accounting a go. What a relief to have found Adam and his team.
